Boudreaux Visitor Center

(Mark Twain Lake, MO)

For the Boudreaux Visitor Center, KB sought in this project to capture the natural beauty of Mark Twain Lake and the surrounding wooded area while fulfilling the client’s goal of providing a unique visitor experience. Our goal was to educate, inspire, and amaze in the construction of this building by incorporating innovative land use and exhibit features while providing an interactive experience for visitors.

Construction of Boudreaux Visitor Center incorporated creative lighting and a view of the lake wherever possible, including from the bridged entrance and drive-by entryway. The end result is a stunning building that evokes connection with the natural surrounding by incorporated pitched roofs, dramatic overhangs, stone and treated wood, and an inviting entrance. KB utilized the expertise of Ross & Baruzzini to complete the building design before construction.
